About Me!
Thank you for viewing my website! My name is Allie Marzella and I am a recent graduate from The Pennsylvania State University. I'm currently a production assistant at ABC News/Lincoln Square Productions and am a recent Edward R. Murrow Award recipient. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism with minors in both business and sociology. My goal is to continue my career in entertainment and television production. Ever since I can remember, the entertainment industry has been a passion of mine. Whether it was music, movies, television, sports or just simply browsing the Internet, I always found myself captivated with the latest headlines and trends from around the world.
Another goal that I have in this industry is to report fair and unbiased coverage of the latest news. It is important that we in the journalism community give our viewers stories and reports that they can count on.
I fell in love with producing when I became the Executive Producer for "Penn State News Live," the only student run television news show on campus. We aired half-hour shows on a weekly basis that were broadcasted throughout campus. Through this position, I learned how to put together a compelling news show, manage a crew of reporters and master the studio equipment. I was also given the opportunity to anchor and cover breaking news as a reporter through this club. I am an inducted member of the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism Program where I was given the opportunity to profile the Penn State Varsity Men's Golf Team for an entire semester.
I have gained further production experience through the various internships I've done in many departments. These include The Pennsylvania Cable Network in State College, PA., Fox Business Network for "The Willis Report" in New York City and ABC News for "20/20", also in New York City. I also interned as an ABC Campus Representative for their entertainment division and was an anchor/reporter/producer for the "Centre County Report", an emmy award winning news program located in State College, Pennsylvania. I am currently working as a production assistant at ABC News for Lincoln Square Productions in New York City, and was previously the production coordinator/social media editor for "20/20". As you can see, I wear many different hats. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in working together!
